I went to a summer Jazz camp between my junior and senior year of high
school. It wasn't a Jamey Abersold camp, but he was the featured instructor,
along with his group. I came away from there totally hooked on Miles Davis,
and if you ask me today, 35 years later, Miles Davis is still my #1 all-time
greatest Jazz trumpet player. Is he the best? The best, IMO is Clifford
Brown, at least in regards to his ideas and facility on the trumpet.

So, am I right and Jon Faddis wrong? Nope, "in my opinion" these are my two
favorites.
