[TPIN] Bach question

You'll need to measure the internal bore of the instrument to work out its
size - the outer diameter of standard weight Bachs are identical.
Use a micrometer.

>From the little I know about Bachs, a large bore (.462)37 bell would be
quite a dark/heavy sounding and free blowing instrument. A #25 bell was
supposed to put some zing back into the larger bored instruments sound as
well as add some resistance.

cheers

Andy

Sorry I wasn't clear but yes, I did that and each second valve slide fit
perfectly in all three horns. Another oddity here is that the serial number
on the large bore horn is not stamped horizontally on the second valve
casing above the slide, but vertically on the opposite side of the 2nd valve
casing (away from the slide) and the "L" is stamped at the bottom of the 2nd
casing below the slide. I've never seen a Bach Strad with this configuration
before.
