These are the two I use (on mine the deeper M cup is designated D ). 
When I use the MS piece every day I have no problem playing softer and 
more mellow (less ring/zing - words are so inadequate to describe sound).

I did, however, spend a couple of months playing only the deeper cup (I 
have another set in school for that horn) and I found that switching 
back to my formerly "normal" piece was unsatisfactory.  You will note 
that Chase said he plays all of his pieces every day - lesson learned.

I used to play a Bach 3C and while there are players doing amazing work 
on that piece, for me there is no comparison.  It did take a little 
while to get used to the increased efficiency of the GR pieces(my wife 
complained for weeks that I was too loud in church).
