Generally speaking, I personally do find that a tighter "blow" - weather it
is because of the horn, or the mouthpiece backbore (or drill) will force
more of a pivot, to get equal amounts of sound/vibration.

If a proper adjustment is made to the backbore or throat length, - but
predominantly the backbore -  The need for pivoting is reduced
significantly, and a clear open relaxed tone is maintained as you ascend.

Has anyone else experienced this?
