[TPIN] {Disarmed} Fwd: Pot calling the Kettle - Patrick's response

I have stayed out if this one, but do have a few things to say now.
First of all, Patrick is a good guy who is very conscientious about his
playing and a very warm individual. I think he probably just went about his
message in the wrong way. I am wondering if some of the "jerks" on those
other trumpet forums, where they just aren't as civilized as we are on TPIN,
didn't get to him. They have blasted many "well-known" trumpet players
about really ridiculous things over there. Some of us have joked together
about being slammed by people on Trumpet Herald and even worse (sad to say)
the Maynard Ferguson list.
I know I have "gone off" a few times on the Internet and not been the most
tactful person in the world. It is easy to do.
As far as Patrick's response to Jack goes - thank you Jack for posting it.
Boy, haven't we all been there?
If there is any living trumpet player who can say that they NEVER had a bad
night, I would say that they are either lying or disillusioned about their
playing. It comes with the territory. I am still trying to be rid of that
horrible you tube thing that got put up a couple of years ago, of a
completely disorganized tune with no rehearsal, where even the band got
lost. It was a disaster and should have never been put anywhere, much less
where lots of people could see it..................
Patrick, I hope you will post some more things to TPIN and have a good
rapport with the many people on this list who do care about trumpet playing
more than putting down other trumpet players, as is done on those other
lists.
