[TPIN] The "dreaded" you tube

I had a very nice off list message from John Kool with regard to a bunch of
videos that I am on - on you tube.  There are some really great ones that
have been just added recently from the 1972 Kenton Band and one "amateur"
one from my Kenton Alumni band from a couple of years ago.
They are all fine with me.
So here is the "dirt" that I let John know about the Mambo Kings "dreaded"
one.  By the way that is a wonderful band and I will be performing with them
on Saturday, Feb. 16th in San Antonio, during the TMEA convention.  THIS
time, we will even have a rehearsal.  The last time was just a last minute
sit in that really didn't make it.  (The funny thing is that on the break,
we had a talk down about the tune and it actually went pretty well on the
2nd set - so - why didn't the person record THAT version??????)

Here it is...................................

Right you are, John. The Mambo Kings one.  I walked into the club from a
full day of doing the Getzen booth at the TMEA convention, no warm up to
speak of, no rehearsal, an incomplete chart and was thrown into the "fray."
OK for just playing in a club to sit in, but NOT for putting out on a you
tube video.
The others are all fine.
