ok the first list is jazz materials. This is some jazz methods as well 
as jazz theory stuff. When first taking up improv almost three years ago 
i thought i could learn it from a book (and yes some of these helped a 
lot). So basically I bought and read every thing i could get my hands 
on. Some of it helped, some of it helped a lot, some of it was, and 
remains, way over my head, some i thought was just not very good. But 
here is the list. If any of it hits you as something you might want, let 
me know. (yea i know, if i had spent as much time practicing as i did 
reading, look where i could be)
