[TPIN] Recent talk about pedal tones

It was ironic that just last night I played a concert in which I had to play 2 fairly exposed pedal Fs.  The first was in Espana the second in the Ravel Rapsodie Espagnole.  I could have played gs on my Bb, but didn't need to because low f isn't a very low note when pedal tones are part of your daily routine.  I guess that makes me an advocate.

Also, a question.  We all know the various "chops gurus," but does anyone know an articulation guru?  Who have you studied with who made a real difference in your speed and clarity?
