To the latter group, I would like to add Bobby Hackett, a consumate
improviser who chose to remain within the original range limits of the
trumpet (cornet).  Great musicians such as he will always be overshadowed by
other greats who play higher, louder and faster, three qualities which will
drown out lower, softer and slower good taste.

Also, I'm sure there's room for a Dizzy Gillerpie, a Miles Davis, a Clifford
Brown, a Bill Hardman, a Kenny Dorham, a Blue Mitchell, a Don Cherry and on
and on and on...
