In Dillons defense, my experience down there has been the opposite.  I'm definately not a "known name" - but regardless, I've always gotten very good, friendly service.   I've actualy seen them take care of high school students ahead in line of other players who were names, on at least one occassion.

A lot of it depends on how busy they are, too.  Things can get real nuts - especially on Saturdays.  To be fair (and realistic)... if some hot-shot walks in, it wouldn't bug me if they did give them special attention ahead of me.  Heck... if Mario Andretti walked into a BMW dealer, you would expect them to kiss his tushe a little, right?  Lots of referals on the line.  In the same regard, if the likes of Phil Smith, Randy Brecker or Nick Marcione walk into Dillons, and they don't get a little red-carpet treatment, that would be wierd,... no?

Dillons is a wonderful shop.  They've always given me good value, and have always been very helpful.

Just my 2 cents...
