As a trumpeter, I have never kept a daily practice/accomplishment log or journal.  However, as a daily runner, for years I kept a daily journal of each day's running/training activities. After my Mom passed, I stopped doing so. It was also around the time that my running thing was less competitive/training oriented and more contemplative/meditative/health-oriented. This in mind, I wonder how many of you/us keep a daily trumpeting log, or, recommend a log or journal for your students.
