This is true. I was on a low dose beta blocker for mild hypertension and
developed exercise-induced asthma. It only occurred when running, working out,
or walking quickly and affected my breathing for up to 30 minutes afterwards.
Fortunately it didn't happen during any performances, but might have if I was
on a stronger dosage. Switched to a different type of medication after a month
and the symptoms went away. Now I read all of the potential side effects before
taking anything new and watch closely for symptoms.
