[TPIN] Brightening My Sound

I sure have to agree with Jon here.? I use one mouthpiece for everything and can darken or brighten my sound with my approach to the music that I am playing.? Will I get as dark a sound as someone playing a really big mouthpiece? No.? But I can get an acceptable sound for most situations that I would play in, regardless of brightness or darkness.? And - I also agree that a smaller mouthpiece will usually give a person a brighter sound, BUT - this is not something to mess with lightly.? Any change or addition of another mouthpiece, especially for a young person, should be done with the help of a competent teacher and not just because somebody on a list like this says so.

?I'm claiming I can get a dark sound on a shallow mouthpiece and a bright
sound on a deep mouthpiece. My point is so many are quick to switch
equipment when all that is needed is a little application in study. Come
on, anybody want to admit how many mouthpieces they have? I have ONE.?
