Very good.
Of course the following statement is also true:
Don't only judge a teacher by his or her students who DON'T play well.
Very few of my students practice all that much.
Some are definitely "remedial", and even work at it, but have ADHD and
are on Ritalin, etc.
I shudder to think their director or peers judge my teaching by their
performance. But, I don't think it is right to "cherry pick" the
students I accept, either.
Still, I have one student I teach over the internet with a web cam who
said after the first lesson, "You changed my life!".
(He meant for the better, too.)
