Yes. I love it!

Very Stable

I usually have other music or a cardboard folder behind the music and
have had no problem.
I have not tried to write on a single sheet of paper with nothing
between it and the desk, so I don't know.
If it were above "zero", I would go out to the car, where I usually
keep it handy and get it to check.

Yes

yes

So far, no. Well, maybe the price. They are $100.
I really like how small it rolls/folds up. About the size of a
student wire rack.
The base is made of heavy duty metal, is heavy and stable.

I already had a Manhasset, of course.

Also have a SuperStand which is heavy and the desk folds flat and
tries to be portable.
But the desk is still huge. I have it in a bag with a handle.

But both take up a lot of space in the trunk and are awkward to
transport.

I first encountered the Desca when watching a performance by the
Intergeneration Orchestra of Omaha.
I searched for information about the stand after the concert. Even
contgacted the Eastern Nebraska Office on Aging, which sponsors the
group to track down info.

I now play with the group and the stands hold up well.
