to complicate matters a bit there are also the "New Real Books" 
published by Sher Music. There are now 3 volumes of those and they also 
come, I believe, in Bb Eb and C. I have had really good players tell me 
they prefer the New Real Books put out by Sher, and really good players 
tell me they prefer the original Real Books. I have not a clue, as I am 
not nearly good enough to be a true judge, but you might want to check 
out both the Real Books and the New Real Books to see what you prefer.
