That could very well be what it is, but I've never noticed that he is listed
in the credits.  I doubt that anyone really cares who played the trumpet
part  and I doubt that even one person watches the program because Wynton
played the picc solo.

argument makes sense, but since you can't see the player, all you hear is
the playing, how could it be marketing of the player, sexy, or popular or
not?  Now, if they had the player in camera actuallly playing, then you
could say that they are marketing Wynton.  If the audience doesnt' know who
is playing, you'd think they'd want one that sounded a certain way, for
