Our first rehearsal went well except that a lot of time was spent coordinating
rehearsal numbers on everyone's parts.

I'm playing principal trumpet and had my part prepared until I got to the
rehearsal and there was another part on my stand which evidently is an on-stage
part and is much more involved than the regular part.

Can anyone enlighten me as to what is the procedure with these two parts? On the
DVD I saw, there doesn't seem to be a band onstage.
