The earliest 7X that I've run across is #41xxx. It's an LA with a 7 stamped 
on the bell and LP stamped as the bore size .470, as Glenn mentioned. The Ebay 
seller estimated the manufacture date as 1981, which is probably pretty close 
to correct. 
I was hoping that the purchaser would contact me so that I could put some 
confirmed data into the LA Benge spreadsheet, but it hasn't yet happened.

The latest Benge brochure that I have is from 1976, and the 7X model is not 
yet listed.
