Back around 1976, Maurice was featured at the Academy Of Music in
Phila., accompanied only by the pipe organ. 

Maurice entered the stage with his picc tucked under his arm. I figured
he's do a few selections on picc and then switch to Bb or C trumpet.
NOT.

All told, the concert lasted 2.5 hours with a 20 minute intermission and
a 15 minute pipe organ solo. 

Maurice played the picc for a total of 1 hour and 55 minutes, without
ever sounding even close to playing a clam. He played practically all
the well known pieces he recorded for the Musical Heritage Society.

This was the most remarkable concert I've ever had the pleasure of
attending. Something I'll never forget.
