Use fixed Do.

Movable Do makes little sense, if you think really about it. It changes the
name of a pitch, based on key signature. Now, anyone who knows anything
about music theory and chord progressions (in classical music, in jazz,
whatever), knows that a key signature is at best a "guideline" for the
harmonic center in a piece, at the outset and the end (usually). But keys
and tonal centers changes ALL the time throughout a piece, except in the most
simplistic cases.

If the key signature says key of "C" but the phrase your singing or playing
is currently centered in "G" - or E minor, or A minor,... or further
modulations - the notion of changing the name of a pitch to accomodate the
key signature quickly reveals itself as being foolish.

Plus, the another goal of solfegio - especially with very young stundents -
is to develop the ability associate an real pitch with a name (i.e., A440 =
La). Similar to the way Kodai associates intervals with hand motions. If you
keep shifting this around, the advantage of "viseral" association is
defeated.

C is C. Do is Do. The only variation is for sharps and flats - and if it
gets to the point where that bothers your ears,... the system worked!
