Don't worry about it! I put "Trumpet - Flugelhorn" on mine. You're not
making any claim to greatness, just providing context / contact information.

Subject: [TPIN] Another question -- business cards (OFF?)
To all,
Since I'm in the mood to ask questions, I have one that I hope someone can
offer good advice on:
I'm not a pro player and I have a day job in "corporate America", but I do
get asked to play trumpet on occasion for community shows, church services,
etc, sometimes for free and sometimes for pay. It might be a good idea to
have a trumpet-related business card printed so that people know how to
reach me, but I am at a complete loss as to what to put on the card. If I
put my name and the word "trumpet" underneath (like I have seen so many
others do), it gives the impression that I am a full-time trumpeter and a
pro. If I put "amateur trumpet" or something like that, it looks confusing
and may indicate that I should not be paid for anything.
So, any ideas as to the "correct" wording to put on a business card? You
can reply to me directly, unless Michael thinks this is a topic that might
benefit the wider TPIN audience.
Thanks,
Ben Blinder
