I think good advise in general is "be cool".  

There's a lot of good stuff to glean from this list - both knowledge-wise and 
entertainment-wise - but email is often not read the way it was intended (too 
easy to read our own emotions into it).  And if someone doesn't respond, 
then "se la vi".  

Relevent trumpet content: "be cool" is probably good advise for both practice 
and performance. ;-)
