[TPIN] Friday Firestarter

Speaking of this guy Wayne Bergeron, I thought it might be fun to know  
that he and Vince DiMartino are going to be some of the highlights at  
a two-day jazz extravaganza here at Miami University (Ohio) next  
weekend.

It is the 30th running of the Southwestern Ohio High School Jazz  
Festival, which I have been running the whole time, and this is my  
last one, so I pulled out all the stops (nope, I am not retiring, just  
stepping down from the helm of the event. 30 is such a great, round  
number...)

Anyhow, Wayne will be here for two days with Vince, saxophonists Chris  
Vadala and Denis Diblasio, five other local and regional jazzers, and  
the Cleveland Jazz Orchestra with trumpeter Jack Schantz. Oh, MU's  
1:00 Jazz Ensemble is in the thick of it, too.

The MU group and the guests highlight the Saturday evening concert  
(March 8) and the CJO and guests take over on Sunday night.

If any of you are in the area, the whole two day thing (31 high school  
band and clinics by the guests during the two days).

And the whole two day thing (including the clinics), except for the  
CJO thing, is free and open to the public.
