I think you should use the same grade of steel wool you would use on your
lips....

Seriously, why would you grind down your valves in a uneven manner with
steel wool?

If they are seriously corroded I would take them too a professional repair
person.

on your trumpet, I don't care, on mine I wouldn't use steel wool.
