Friends;  Some nice trumpet listening available in Albuquerque in March.

Sunday, March, 2.  Amanda Pepping will be featured soloist with the  
Albuquerque Concert Band.  She'll be doing her arrangement of  
DeFalla's Danse Espagnol. Amanda was a recitalist at the 2007 ITG  
Conference and has a nice article in the current ITG Journal. She's  
home in Albuquerque for a time now.  Concert is at Sandia High School  
at 3:00PM.  Free!  Check out the band website at ABQband.org

The Manzano High School Band is having a fundraiser concert featuring  
the Albuquerque Jazz Orchestra with guest trumpet artists Bobby Shew  
and Wayne Bergeron.

Tickets on sale now at Baum's Music Store $20.  $25 at the door

Bobby is recovering from two knee replacements and a broken shoulder  
but you can't keep a great trumpet player down.  This should be a  
great concert.

Another Albuquerque trumpeter, Tony Lujan, was in town recently. We  
had a great time jammin' and catching up.
