[TPIN] Concert Band Arrangement for Schism

Here is a challenge for the academics, band directors and other trumpet monsters of TPIN:
I was handed a virtually impossible assignment by my 15-year-old son. Besides being a trumpet player in his high school band, Nick happens to be a pretty good rock guitarist. He challenged his band director, Josh Thye, to allow the high school concert band (not the stage/jazz band) to perform the rock song “Schism” by the rock band, Tool, this spring. Josh, who is an outstanding trumpet player in his own right, accepted the challenge on one condition: Nick had to come up with a published concert band arrangement.
Now, I pride myself on my ability to transcribe or arrange any piece of music, but this is a daunting challenge and particularly so because the school district demands that everything be published (to avoid copyright infringement issues I’d imagine). I looked all over the catalogues and saw nothing. Given the tricky time signatures, I think this would be an excellent opportunity for this award-winning band, Desert Vista High School (Phoenix, AZ), that is traveling to Carnegie Hall this spring. Unfortunately, I don’t have time to obtain rights, come up with a decent arrangement and then get it published in time for the band to get adequate rehearsal time in before its spring concert season. I therefore need to find an already published arrangement if it even exists.
If anyone has any ideas, I’m all ears.
