One upper octave hint: on many piccs the trill from 3rd space C to 4th line D works better 0-4 than 0-1. Not on every horn, but it's worth a shot.

I generally use the 4th valve as an alternate fingering for low D (1,3) 
and with the 2nd valve (2,4) instead of the 1,2,3 C# fingering. 
 

It can also be used as an alternate for the low G (1,3) if the 
intonation is better. 
 

I can't imagine using it in the upper register, but anything is possible. 
 

 

The little horns are a little on the slippery side for intonation, so I 
suggest you find the mind set that you will blow it in tune.  It's not 
going to be as close as your big horn without adjustments.
