That is a very interesting point you made about the memory patients remembering the music and sometimes the lyrics. I remember when my great uncle was in such a facility, to the point where he didn't remember much of anything. We brought in some of his old records from Spain (where he grew up) and he started singing along, in Spanish, a language he hadn't spoken for over a quarter century. After listening to these records, they started to trigger other memories from around the time he had first listened to them. It is an amazing power that music has, and a true gift that we posses. Your story proves how valuable a gift it is, not only to others that get to hear, but to ourselves as well. Thank you for sharing!
