[TPIN] Piccolo Trpt (fingering)

Speaking of 4-valve piccs, I'd be curious to know where most of you tune
your 4th valve slide. 

Mine is usually tuned to keep the 1+4 low F in tune. I think some folks tune
it as an alternate fingering for the 1+3 D, but I've never needed to use it
for that, as I have a ring on my 3rd valve slide which works pretty well
(though gripping the wide, 4-valve cluster and still having the finger
motion/control to use that slide in the miniscule motions necessary
certainly took some practice). 

As for alternate fingering to the 1+2+3 C# (Db).... Hmmmmm..... I can't
recall that I've ever played that note in anything on picc.... :)
