The music business class I teach just began discussing digital downloads. Currently, in the U.S.A., and this is to the best of my knowledge as I am not an attorney, federal law guarantees copyright holders a minimum royalty of $0.12 per digital download. Very simply, if a site is offering downloads for $0.09, someone's getting short changed. Mark Minasian
