Most of the small airlines have gate checking service. This means you had
carry it to the jet way or the tarmac and they load it by hand directly into
the plan and hand it to you after.. I use a big, hard fanfare caseworks with
wheels for this kind of traveling and it works great.much better that
checking it. I never get the thing on board because it is pretty big, but it
is fortified enough to handle gate checking easy.
