[TPIN] swollen chops

Age old question.   (I never knew what being "puffy" was, until I was about 21 years old... ahhh, youth)...

Here's my simplistic explanation:  The embouchure & lips are muscle, tissue - flesh and blood.  Exercising a muscle generally causes a reaction: Stiffness, swelling... but also increased strength and flexibility, if done regularly.   Through methodical conditioning, we hope to overcome extreme reactions.

That being said, if there is a truly active professional trumpet player who claims never to have a problem with "puffiness", I wanna talk to them!
