[TPIN] Valve alignments, yea or nay?

I had an older Back Strad ML 37 valve aligned a couple years ago by Bob
Reeves. There is simply no question that the horn opened up after the
alignment and played more evenly across the scale. Interestingly, the notes
that used to be most problematic, prior to alignment, were 1+2 combinations
from top space E on up. The notes that came back from Reeves indicated that
these two were the worst in alignment.
Makes you wonder why some horn manufacturer doesn't get smart, and just ship
'em this way from the factory.

I'm looking for people's opinions, and if they've had a valve alignment
performed, the results.
