[TPIN] circular breathing

Rick,

It's basically done by pocketing air in your mouth, cheeks (where ever you can put it (!)) and moving that air out to fuel the vibration of the lips, while breathing in through your nose to fill the lungs at the same time.

You can practice this "off horn" very easily by trying to maintain a steady gentle stream of air into your hand (held in front of your face, obviously), while breathing through your nose.   When you get the "rythym" of this, it makes it easier to apply it with the horn.

All that being said, I haven't done any serious practice with circular breathing for decades - since I was in high school (I was inspired by a recording of Mendez doing Paganinni's Perpetual Motion, when I was in 9th grade).  I don't find a lot of practical application for it, quite honestly.
