[TPIN] Arban and Edison

I've told about the find of a newpaper article from 1890 where we can
learn that Arban made a recording on an Ediosn wax cylinder (Btw, it
was Eric Roefs, who first discovered the newspaper articles).

There is also a second article telling about the event where Arban's
"Fanfare d'Edison" was played. Ed. Tarr and I have now made a
translation of it and it can be read in full here:

Here is a quote:

"The phonograph is suited for giving the deepest admiration to the man
whose intelligence succeeded in devising this apparatus, which records
with fidelity and at any time plays back the same recorded sound. We
urge everyone not to miss the opportunity for an interesting
acquaintance with one of the nineteenth century's greatest
inventions."

It sure was a great moment for the attenders in Helsinki, Finland, back in 1890!
