OK, Travis - you asked for it. Here's the "bio" that I use on my bands web
sites -

Born in New Jersey, Dave cut his "musical molars" in Philadelphia where he
attended the Philadelphia College of Performing Arts, studying with Tony
Marchione, and later Frank Kaderabek.

Dave has played lead/1st trumpet with performers such as Johnny Mathis,
Steve Lawrence, The Temptations, The Spinners, Michelle Legrand, Nancy
Wilson, Lena Horne, Frank Sinatra, Sammy Davis Jr., ...and others, while
splitting the lead book at the Valley Forge Music Fair, outside
Philadelphia, PA. Trained classically, Dave also worked with Leonard
Bernstein on the bicentennial broadway show "1600 Pennsylvania Avenue", as
well as other 'legit' gigs in and around town, including the Concerto
Soloists of Philadelphia and the Philadelphia Orchestra Brass Quintet. He
has been Principal Trumpet with the Colorado Philharmonic (1976 Season) and
Principal Trumpet with La Orquesta Sinfonica de Maracaibo from from 1980 to
1983, touring the U.S. with appearances at the Kennedy Center In Washington
D.C. and Carnegie Hall in New York.

After settling down to raise a family, Dave owns and operates Orion
Development Corporation a software development and consulting firm in New
Jersey, specializing solutions for medical devices and healthcare industry.
He resides in North Caldwell, NJ, with his wife Ann (a voice over artist
with SoundByte Media) his daughters Natalie (22), Alexandra (20) and his 12
year old son, Gus, (learning the craft of trumpet playing from his Dad).

He currently plays trumpet with his own jazz group "Eveleth Jazz"
(www.evelethjazz.net) and rock cover band "Cranetown"
(www.cranetownband.net), as well as other occassional gigs, in and around
the New Jersey/New York area.

Subject: [TPIN] who we are

ok we have just done the "what do we play" thread and it was fascinating. It
also led me to believe that we have a LOT of pros here, more then I thought.
So I would be very interested in knowing where folks are in this "journey".
Are you a full time pro making his/her living playing a trumpet?
