[TPIN] Anyone tried the runyon lip saver?

I used the lip saver once, I did not like it, it totally changed the rim of the mouthpiece. The lip saver then cracked when trying to remove it from the mouthpiece. If you are looking for a cheap colder weather solution, I would look into the Kelly mouthpieces. If you are looking for something a little more expensive, you could get a Delrin rim or cup custom made. My guess is that David Hickman uses the Delrin. Hope that helps.

Noticed an ad for this (runyon lip saver....a thin black rubber piece that
stretches over the rim of your mouthpiece) ....just wondered if anyone has
tried it and found it to be successful for colder weather days playing
outside? Is this what appears to be the white rim on david hickman¹s
mouthpieces? Thanks, dave lee
