DVJ,
I know Rich Ita (http://www.brassinstrumentworkshop.com/index.html)is out of
your area but he is one of the best brass technicians around anywhere. He
added a 3rd valve water key to my Bach and it works like a champ and save
removing the slide to empty the water. And yes he even repaired the second
piece of the slide that I could have used to let the water out. His prices
are reasonable and he provides a good turn-around rime for his repairs.

Subject: [TPIN] Add Water Key?
I have an L.A. Benge (3) without a water key on the third slide. I've tried
to avoid altering the instrument in any way. However, I really need a way
to drain the third slide. At present I am removing the two little stop nuts
and pulling out the slide, which is not practical in a performance setting.
Can anyone recommend a top quality shop where I might have a water key
added? I'm in rural southwest Virginia and will probably have to rely on
shipping. Thanks, DVJ
